What this site is, and why it exists.
Why this exists
Premium pet automation hardware — robotic litter boxes, smart feeders, connected fountains, access-controlled doors — fails in ways manufacturer support pages rarely explain in useful detail. You get a blinking light, an error code, or a vague app message, and a support flow built for the average case, not yours.
Pet Infrastructure exists to close that gap: a growing library of engineering-grade diagnostic bulletins that map specific symptoms to specific root causes, and specific root causes to a concrete fix — free of charge.
How a bulletin gets built
Every bulletin starts from the manufacturer's own service and user documentation, cross-referenced against the failure patterns reported by real owners. We classify the fault, rate its downtime risk, and lay out the mitigation path — software reset, physical maintenance, or component replacement — in that order of preference.
We do not publish a bulletin until the fix has been checked against the underlying hardware documentation for that specific model. Where firmware or hardware revisions change the picture, we revise the bulletin rather than leave it stale.
Independence
No manufacturer sponsorship or beta-testing agreement funds this site. We may earn an affiliate commission when a recommended part or replacement unit is purchased through one of our links — at no extra cost to you — but that revenue has no influence on which fault we describe, how severe we rate it, or which fix we recommend first.
The full policy is documented on our Affiliate & Transparency Disclosure page.
